Not even "The Rona" could hold us back from certifying our Teachers to deliver this fantastic new course stream at TCDA!
We were working toward finalising our qualifications for delivery of our new Acro courses at TCDA when the cancellation of our final certification classes threatened to throw us off track. Thankfully Miss Kellie, Miss Lily & Miss Meg were able to complete their qualifications via ZOOM with their Canadian Assessors and we are now in a position to launch TCDA’s Acro Stream.
We have recently invested thousands of dollars in new acro equipment to ensure the safest, highest quality training for our dancers. We are also excited to be making use of new software that overlays the movement of our dancers with modelling to provide individual corrections to their technique.
We have partnered with Acrobatic Arts due to the reputation of their syllabus and their ability to provide annual, independent examinations in our studio in a structure that will not be dissimilar to our ATOD exams. Qualifications earned through Acrobatic Arts are recognised internationally.
We view these acro skills as an extension to the structured technique offered in our other exam classes and as such are only available to students undertaking classes in Jazz or Ballet.
Classes for these new Acro classes are currently completely filled, but please register your interest and we will let you know if a place becomes available in the future.
